Match Preview: Chelsea vs Cardiff

Kick  Off Time 3:00pm

Team News

Chelsea
  • Chelsea's 3-1 win over Norwich City lifted the Blues into the top 4 and manager José Mourinho will be looking to extend their unbeaten league run to 4 games.
  • The Portuguese tactician will be without the injured quartet of Marco van Ginkel, Tomas Kalas, Fernando Torres and Ashley Cole for the welcome of Cardiff City.
  • Ryan Bertrand is expected to deputise at left-back, while Andre Schürrle could start following his hat-trick for Germany on Tuesday night, meaning Eden Hazard will likely begin the encounter from the bench.
Cardiff
  • Cardiff City were unfortunate to come away from their 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United without at least a point before the international break and the Bluebirds will be looking to surprise Chelsea this weekend.
  • Manager Malky Mackay is still without the services of Andreas Cornelius, but faces no further injury concerns ahead of the encounter.
  • That could see Craig Bellamy again start from the bench, with Peter Odemwingie expected to begin the game on the right flank.
