Team News
Osasuna
- There's a mixture of good and bad news for Osasuna on the injury front, with Roberto Torres returning to action, but Emiliano Armenteros has suffered another injury, this time to his hamstring, and has been ruled out for a month.
- Osasuna's last result was a morale-boosting 1-0 win at Malaga, in which they could have won by a far bigger margin.
Barcelona
- Leo Messi is expected to make a return to action after three weeks out with a hamstring injury.
- Carles Puyol could make his long-awaited return too after missing the start of the season and the end of last term due to knee surgery, while Javier Mascherano is also expected to be fit.
- Barcelona have always struggled at Osasuna and only won 2-1 last season thanks to two late Messi goals and some questionable offside decisions, while the year before they were beaten 3-1.

Prediction
- No teams, not even Barcelona, enjoy playing at El Sadar, where they always meet a physical Osasuna side roared on by their passionate fans.
- The Pamplona side look to be turning a corner under Javi Gracia following a disastrous start to the season with Jose Luis Mendilibar and will no doubt cause the Catalans problems.
- With Messi back in the side and Neymar improving with every match, expect the visitors to come away with the points, but they will have to work for them.
