Team News
Tottenham
- Emmanuel Adebayor is a doubt after picking up a groin injury in the loss to Manchester City last week, but Roberto Soldado played 90 minutes on Thursday so that hints that he won't start here.
- Pressure is building on Andre Villas-Boas, and there are increasing calls for him to revert to 2 up front with Spurs misfiring.
- He may well do just that, with Defoe partnering Adebayor. If not, however, Lewis Holtby could start in behind the lone striker once again.
Manchester United
- Manchester United will be hoping to have Robin van Persie back to face Tottenham after their talisman missed the 2-2 draw at Cardiff last week and the win at Leverkusen in midweek.
- Nemanja Vidic could also return from injury to partner either Rio Ferdinand or Jonny Evans at the back.
- Michael Carrick is still out but Fellaini is available again after missing out in midweek.

Prediction
- Tottenham will look to bounce back from last Sunday's demoralising 6-0 defeat at Manchester City with a tough game against champions Manchester United.
- United are on the longest current unbeaten streak in the Premier League (6 games) and haven't lost any of their last 12 league games at White Hart Lane, while Spurs have only scored 6 goals in the last 11 of those.
- Having also struggled for goals this season, Tottenham will do well to break United down, and if Robin van Persie plays, he could well add to the 6 goals and 5 assists he has in his last 8 league starts against Spurs.
