Lumus is the largest maker of screens used in military HUD, such as the cone pattern on the F-16 and A-10 of the USAF. However its latest project bearing number DK-40 will be a product toward consumers. They will not mass production, but instead will provide the technology to OEMs integrate it into different types of products.
Speaking of DK-40, it has the shape of a glass eye, running on the Android platform, the entire lens is a display resolution of 640x480 pixels can see through, meaning that the programmers can develop applications and interfaces overlap and it is what we are seeing in real life to create Augmented Reality effects (enhanced reality). Also DK-40 also has a 5MP camera, motion sensor and battery run 1-2 hours.
Expected Lumus will only bring their products to the OEM and a programmer at the end of Q1 next year, and product display at the exhibition CES 2014 and sophistication will also be present at this annual event .
