Arsene Wenger thinks Alex Ferguson could return to management;
Ferguson could return to management: The Daily
Telegraph is one of several papers to report Arsene Wenger's quotes
about a possible return to a job in football management for Sir Alex
Ferguson. The Arsenal
manager said: "In six months we will know more about that. You cannot
rule it completely out. It is difficult to take a drug for 30 years and
suddenly get rid of it."
Paper Round's view: However amusing the thought of a desperately drug-addled and dependent Ferguson is, Wenger might have a point. Football management has been Ferguson's life for so long, it would come as no surprise to hear down the line that he can't live without it. That said, it's near-impossible to imagine Fergie at any club other than Manchester United and they already have a manager who's safe in his job for at least a couple of years. Isn't he?
