- Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Swansea City at the weekend stretched their winning streak in all competitions to 9 games and will be high on confidence heading into the encounter with Napoli.
- Manager Arsene Wenger will be without Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott, Yaya Sanogo, Lukas Podolksi, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby through injury.
- Tomas Rosicky is back in training, but unlikely to start, while Jack Wilshere is expected to recover from a knock picked up against Swansea to take his place on the left wing.

- Two in-form teams in Europe's top 5 leagues meet at the Emirates Stadium for the first time in competitive competition, with the victor expected to top Group F after the opening two rounds of fixtures.
- Arsenal are on a blistering run of form as of late, winning their last 9 games in all competitions having not succumbed to defeat since the opening day 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa.
