TV Ratings: 'The Haves and the Have Nots' Finale Hits Scripted Record for OWN

Tyler Perry's drama, which has grown its audience throughout the initial run of its freshman season, closes with 2.6 million viewers.

The Haves and the Have Nots hit another ratings high for OWN on Tuesday night, airing its fall finale for an audience of 2.6 million viewers.
Not only is that a series record, it sets a new high bar for the cable network's scripted offerings -- which also include fellow Tyler Perry effort, Love Thy Neighbor.
The series, which recently saw its freshman order doubled, also had highs in women 25-54 (2.21 rating). It premiered in May to 1.8 million viewers and a 1.58 rating with women.
New episodes of The Haves and The Have Nots will return in January 2014.
