William and Harry were crowned kings of the Stock Exchange today as
they landed a record £21billion deal at a 9/11 memorial event.
The
competitive princes had brokers in stitches with their brotherly banter
as they squared up against each other on the trading floor to negotiate
big-bucks deals.
And joker Harry even risked landing new dad Wills in hot water with wife Kate when he told him: “Stop flirting, get on with it.”
The
royals were at a charity day at BGC Partners in Canary Wharf, East
London, and were joined by a host of celebrities, including Rod Stewart.
William left Kate caring for new son Prince George at home.
And
during a joint deal Harry complained his older brother was taking part
in too much “baby talk” instead of getting the job done, saying: “He’s
on the phone, it’s all baby chat.”
But despite the laughs, the
pair eventually bagged the world record forward foreign exchange trade
worth 25billion euros – £21billion – as colleagues cheered around them.
And
it seems Harry could always forge a career in the industry as a back-up
after being bumped down to third in line to the throne by nephew,
George.
