Three years ago Miley Cyrus was spotted smoking out of a bong, but she defended herself and said she was smoking the herb Salvia. She even made a reference to its legality in an appearance on "Saturday Night Live", but based on her new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, she may have actually been smoking something else after all.
The singer discussed a number of topics in her chat with the magazine, from the recent controversy over her MTV Video Music Awards performance in August to her new album, "Bangerz", to her latest video, "Wrecking Ball". She also opened up about a subject that should come as a surprise to no one: drugs.
"I think weed is the best drug on earth," she said. "One time I smoked a joint with peyote in it, and I saw a wolf howling at the moon."
Miley's drug dabbling doesn't end there though, she hints that she's tried some of the other stuff, too.
"Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better," she says. "And molly (ecstasy), too. Those are happy drugs— social drugs.
"They make you want to be with friends. You're out in the open. You're not in a bathroom."
"I really don't like coke," the 20-year-old adds. "It's so gross and so dark. It's like what are you, from the '90s? Ew."
Ironically, despite wanting to take substances that make her happy, Miley also discussed her tongue and said she hates smiling.
"I just stick my tongue out because I hate smiling in pictures. It’s so awkward. It looks so cheesy," she says.
