For Meek, it's all about competition.
This weekend, HHS1987 caught up with Meek Mill
for an interview during the Dreamchasers Sports & Entertainment
Summit in Philadelphia, which was organized in partnership with Monster
Energy Drink."I just wanted to put something together motivational for Philadelphia. We never really had these things and I’m one of the newest cats that came out of here on his way to success," said the MMG emcee. "So I just wanted to bring some energy back this way and put people on game with what it takes... in a successful world."
While discussing the summit itself and his desire to "give back to the people", Meek also touched on his new business ventures his thirst for competition. He has an exclusive Puma Clyde sneaker, a headphone partnership with Monster CEO Noel Lee and is developing a clothing line for launch in 2014.
"Man, I just like to make money. I got family to take care of," said the Philly native. "I like working. I like building things from the bottom. So it’s competition to me. It ain’t really all about the money. It’s really competition. No matter if we playing checkers, soccer, dirt bikes, wheeling, whatever it is. I just like building things and getting better."
Meek also spoke on his perpetually delayed Dreamchasers 3 mixtape, which is allegedy dropping on September 19th. He claims it will "infiltrate" both the clubs and the streets while also "touching the ladies."
