Arsenal
- Arsene Wenger confirmed that Lukas Podolski will be out for up to 10 weeks with the hamstring injury he sustained against Fenerbahce in midweek.
- Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey both sustained knocks but are highly unlikely to miss the north London derby for minor injuries.
- Laurent Koscielny returns from suspension and will slot into central defence with Bacary Sagna moving over to right-back.
Tottenham
- Aaron Lennon is a doubt for Spurs after missing the win over Swansea last week, but Andros Townsend's impressive performance could mean he starts regardless of Lennon's fitness.
- Andre Villas-Boas has plenty of options in midfield and the absence of Gareth Bale as his move to Madrid looks to finally be going through.
- It will probably be the same three in the middle as last week - Paulinho, Capoue and Dembele - but Sandro, Sigurdsson and Holtby will also hope for some gametime.

Prediction
- The north London derby this season comes at an earlier stage than any season since 1997, and both teams are still looking to do business before the transfer window slams shut.
- Arsenal have won their last 2 home meetings with rivals Spurs by 5 goals to 2 after having gone behind and would be delighted with a repeat this time around. However, a lengthy injury list has ensured a mixed start to the season and things won't be quite so simple for them.
- Tottenham have won both of their games this season, keeping clean sheets in their first two games, though they are yet to score from open play. Arsenal, meanwhile, have scored freely this season - 4 goals in 2 Premier League games and 5 in two Champions League qualifiers - and should be able to break down a resilient Tottenham defence.
- 13 of the last 14 league meetings between these sides have gone over 2.5 goals, so expect a few more come Sunday. This Spurs side need time to gel and so a win will probably be beyond them, but they could well cancel out a depleted Arsenal side.
