The highly anticipated premiere of Labo
received a great reception
Last night Odeon Cinema in North Greenwich, London welcomed the cast and
crew of the long awaited premiere of UK Nollywood movie Labo.
The beautiful and extremely talented actress, Doris Simeon shined in
coral gown on the red carpet along with the film’ star and producer Roseline
Sanni-Ajose who was looking radiant in a design by Rooi.
The audience was told to pay special attention to the message in the
movie. The title which comes from an old Yoruba saying means ‘to look back to
home’. The films major lesson was for people living away from their homeland to
never forget their culture while living abroad an to train their children in
the culture and tradition of their homeland.
There was a brief question and answer session at the end of the movie to
engage the audience and allow time for contrastive criticism. The film’s
director, Femi Fadeyi also thanked everyone from the cast to the audience who
took the time to come out to support the film. He also explained that Jide Kosoko
could not be there due to prior engagements that he could not get out of.
It was a great first effort by producer Roseline Sanni-Ajose who is
nominated for a newbie award for best new actress.
The film will be travelling around the world before the final premiere in
Nigeria. Enjoy some of the pictures from the premiere below with a rare
appearance by Shola Sobowale.
