ASUU STRIKE: No End Soon - Lecturers

The Academic Staff Union Of University (ASUU) Ibadan zone has reitirated that the on going strike embarked upon by its member all over the country will not be called off.

At a news briefing at the University of Lagos on wednessday, DR Adesola Nassir said until the government makes seriouse changes and respects the demands of the union the strike wont be called off.
Dr Adesola Nassir, zonal coordinator of ASUU, Ibadan zone, said re-negotiation of the 2009 agreement with ASUU remains the only way out. “Our members at ASUU Ibadan zone, comprising University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Lagos State University, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and Tai Solarin University of Education have resolved to remain on strike along with our colleagues nationwide for as long as it takes government to be faithful to the agreement and commence the process of renegotiating the 2009 agreement,” Nassir said.
