Elbit Systems officials arrive; begin installation of $40 million Internet Spy facility for Nigeria

While the House of Reps investigative panel dilly dallies on its planned investigations, the Internet Spy device will be installed and “Big Brother” will come alive, somewhere in Abuja, soon.
As the world battles the American government over its invasive Prism project that has snooped on Americans and other world leaders, workers of Israeli defence electronics firm, Elbit Systems, have quietly landed in Abuja, to install a comprehensive spying facility that will help the Nigerian government spy on all online activities by its citizens.
The installation will go ahead despite public outcry and an ongoing legislative probe of the project that followed the leak of the contract by this newspaper, long before Edward Snowden exposed America’s Prism.

Match Report: Ajax 2 - 1 Barcelona - Ajax hold on to beat Barcelona

Ajax celebrate their opening goal against Barcelona (Reuters)

Amsterdam ArenA: Ajax 2 (Serero 19, Hoesen 41) Barcelona 1 (Xavi 49)

Ajax managed to hold on to beat Barcelona to keep their Champions League campaign alive, sealing a 2-1 win in Amsterdam.
The Dutch side were forced to play most of the second half with ten men, after Joel Veltman was sent off just after half-time.
However, first half goals from Thulani Serero and Danny Hoesen were enough, despite Xavi's penalty giving Barcelona hope in the second half.
Ajax started the game superbly, not allowing a depleted Barcelona to settle into any sort of rhythm of possession, pressing high up the pitch in a manner in which the Catalans are of course very familiar.
And the pressing paid off in the 19th minute, when the hugely impressive Serero gave the hosts the lead. Ricardo van Rhijn broke down the right flank and fired in a powerful low cross, and Serero, breaking from midfield, was there to sweep home.

Group E, St Jakob Park – Basel 1 (Salah 87) Chelsea 0

Chelsea scraped through to the knockout stages of the Champions League despite conceding a late Mohamed Salah goal to lose 1-0 at Basel.
Jose Mourinho’s side produced an inept performance and they failed to muster a single shot on goal as Basel dominated for long periods.
But because the other group E match between Steaua Bucharest and Schalke ended 0-0, Chelsea do enough to qualify.
