Prediction

  • Napoli failed to win at home for the second successive match in the Serie A, thus falling 8 points behind Juventus. The Partenopei might have suffered from the pressure of the Champions League in their domestic campaign, but in doing so they have lost confidence ahead of this crucial clash.
  • Arsenal are five points clear of Liverpool and Chelsea and missed the chance of picking up two more against Everton at the weekend, despite leading with 10 minutes to go.
  • Both teams, as well as Borussia Dortmund, could finish first, second or third in the group, but while Arsenal would qualify, and first in the standings, in in a majority of result combinations, Napoli have to win, possibly by at least three goals, to have a serious chance of qualification. A full house is expected, so the supporters will push the hosts to the victory, but Napoli will most surely need a positive Marseille result to progress.
