• Michael Carrick missed the win over Fulham with a lower leg injury and he remains a doubt, though Danny Welbeck may be available again having returned to training.
• United may make changes due to fitness concerns surrounding a number of their players so the likes of Fellaini, Giggs and Kagawa could all start.

Prediction

• Despite sitting at the top of group A, United are still far from comfortable so they will need to pick up all three points against bottom of the group Real Sociedad.
• Nevertheless, injuries may force David Moyes' hand a little into making changes so the hosts will hope to capitalise on any lack of fluidity in a changed line-up from the visitors.
• Sociedad have players of their own missing, however, with Vela and Bergara both suspended so the away side will be favourites but it's likely to be a close game.
