Team News
Real Sociedad
- Both Markel Bergara and Carlos Vela are suspended so Zurutuza and Elustondo will compete for a place in midfield in the absence of the former.
- Captain Xabi Prieto was rested at the weekend so should return to the side in attacking midfield.
- Elsewhere Haris Seferovic and Imanol Agirretxe will compete for a start up front with the former perhaps favoured having scored and picked up an assist from the bench at the weekend.
Manchester United
- The likes of Evans, Rafael, Cleverley and Evra are all doubtful having picked up knocks at the weekend, with the first three of those players all withdrawn at half-time.
- Michael Carrick missed the win over Fulham with a lower leg injury and he remains a doubt, though Danny Welbeck may be available again having returned to training.
- United may make changes due to fitness concerns surrounding a number of their players so the likes of Fellaini, Giggs and Kagawa could all start.

Prediction
- Despite sitting at the top of group A, United are still far from comfortable so they will need to pick up all three points against bottom of the group Real Sociedad.
- Nevertheless, injuries may force David Moyes' hand a little into making changes so the hosts will hope to capitalise on any lack of fluidity in a changed line-up from the visitors.
- Sociedad have players of their own missing, however, with Vela and Bergara both suspended so the away side will be favourites but it's likely to be a close game.
