Team News

Chelsea
  • José Mourinho made a number of changes to the side that overcame Schalke on Wednesday and is expected to revert to more familiar looking XI for the welcome of West Brom.
  • Marco van Ginkel, Ryan Bertrand and Fernando Torres are Chelsea's only injury concerns, meaning Samuel Eto'o will be expected to lead the attack in the absence of the Spaniard.
  • Gary Cahill may keep his place in the team at the expense of David Luiz.
West Bromwich Albion
  • West Brom picked up a comprehensive 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out and they'll be looking to continue this momentum for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
  • However, manager Steve Clarke faces a problematic injury list, with Zoltán Gera, Ben Foster, George Thorne and Billy Jones all sidelined, while Scott Sinclair, Boaz Myhill, Nicolas Anelka and Victor Anichebe are all doubts.
  • With Jones out, Steven Reid will start at right-back, with Morgan Amalfitano expected to start on the right-wing after dropping back to cover for Jones in the win over Palace.
