Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s overhead kick against England makes FIFA’s list
of the top goals of the year from across the globe. Who gets your vote?
The FIFA Puskas Award is presented to the player, from either the
men’s or women’s game, judged to have scored the best goal of the year.
And voting for this year’s award has officially begun with a panel of
experts and members of FIFA’s Football Committee compiling their
10-player shortlist.
Italy ace Antonio Di Natale makes the list with a superb angled
volley, while Brazil superstar Neymar also makes the cut with a screamer
against Japan as well as Ibrahimovic’s sublime overhead kick against
England.
The three goals with the most votes from this first phase of voting
will be up for a second vote. Then the goal with the most votes from the
second phase of voting will be the winner of the 2013 FIFA Puskas
award, which will be announced on January 13, 2014.
