Rihanna has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man who allegedly broke into her Los Angeles home last month.
Jonathan
Whooper was taken into custody earlier this month after officers
identified him as the suspect who threw a chair through a glass door at
the star's Pacific Palisades home.
According to editors at
Tmz.com, Whooper had made several trips to Rihanna's home before
attempting to break in on 29 September and returned again on October 4
before he was arrested.
When confronted by security guards on
his last visit, the suspect claimed to be an acquaintance of the
Umbrella hitmaker and declared he was her "future husband".
In
the petition, Rihanna states she has suffered ''substantial emotional
distress and concern for her personal safety'' as a result of the
break-ins and a judge has placed a temporary restraining order against
Whooper, ordering him to stay 100 yards away from the singer.
The case will go back to court later this month and Rihanna is expected to ask for the restraining order to be made permanent.
