Match Preview: Celta Vigo vs Barcelona

Kick Off Time 9:00pm

Team News

Celta Vigo
  • Luis Enrique's side earned a confidence-boosting 5-0 win over Malaga at the weekend, just in time for the welcome champions Barcelona.
  • On-loan from Barcleona, Rafinha will most likely miss playing his employers as he continues his recovery.
  • Andreu Fontas will however be fit to face his former club as will Nolito.
Barcelona
  • Lionel Messi was played out on the left of the attacking trident against Real Madrid on the weekend, but is expected to return to his central role with Cesc Fabregas making way.
  • After scoring the winner in the Clasico, Alexis Sanchez is likely to be drafted into the first team again.
  • Captain Carles Puyol, who sat out on the weekend, will probably come in place of Gerard Pique who has been left out of the squad entirely due to a hamstring strain.
  • Jordi Alba remains injured so Adriano will keep his place at left back.

  • After two successive draws, Barcelona returned to winning ways over their fiercest rivals Real Madrid on Saturday. The win kept them in first place in the standings, one point ahead of Atletico Madrid.
  • The Catalans will fancy themselves to make it two wins from two when they travel to Vigo to face Luis Enrique's side and they were certainly be favourites to do so.
  • The hosts however, are coming off an impressive win over Malaga so they will be in confident mood. But, it will probably not be enough to keep Barcelona's stars at bay.
