REVEALED: The world's most expensive ever transfers according to inflation

American finance bods Forbes have adjusted the world's biggest transfers according to their respective rates of inflation to create a new top 10 of expensive players. While there are players who have been signed for far more than the £30.8m Chelsea paid Milan for Andriy Shevchenko in 2006, Forbes claim the rate of inflation over the past seven years means that the same player would now cost the Blues around £44m. Serious money has already been splashed out so far on transfers, as Europe's wealthiest clubs strengthen their ranks with the world's most sought-after talent.
