SA: 1 billion Android devices shipped in 2014 alone

This quarter Apple reached an important milestone – it sold its billionth iOS device (that's since the first one). Meanwhile, 1 billion Androids shipped over the last year alone, as reported by Strategy Analytics. The analyst firm estimates 1.3 billion smartphones were shipped in 2014, of that over 1 billion ran Android (this works out to 81% market share).

Global Smartphone OS Shipments (Millions of Units)	Q4 '13	2013	Q4 '14	2014
Android	227.3	780.8	291.7	1042.7
Apple iOS	51.0	153.4	74.5	192.7
Microsoft	9.6	35.8	11.3	38.8
Others	2.3	20.0	2.6	9.3
Total	290.2	990.0	380.1	1283.5

Smartphone shipments grew 30% compared to 2013 (from 1B to 1.3B). Androids alone went from 0.8B to 1B in that period, while iOS lost some ground in terms of market share. It still shipped around 193 million devices, up from 153 million units in 2013.

The third horse in the race, Windows Phone, kept pace with the growth of the market and stayed at 3% share (shipping just under 39 million units).

Strategy Analytics did not release a breakdown by manufacturer, but we know from quarterly reports that Apple is rolling in the dough with record sales. Earlier the analysts reported that Samsung and iOS sales for Q4 2014 were even in terms of devices sold. Despite this, Samsung has been seen itsearnings slip, but other companies have been bouncing back.

Global Smartphone OS Marketshare (%)	Q4 '13	2013	Q4 '14	2014
Android	78.3%	78.9%	76.7%	81.2%
Apple iOS	17.6%	15.5%	19.6%	15.0%
Microsoft	3.3%	3.6%	3.0%	3.0%
Others	0.8%	2.0%	0.7%	0.7%
Total	100.0%	100.0%	100.0%	100.0%
Total Growth: Year-over-Year (%)	33.7%	41.4%	31.0%	29.6%

BlackBerry did not make it into the report, it falls into the Others category, which has a total share of 0.7% (down from 2% in 2013).

Amosu's limited edition pink iPhone 6 isn't easy to look at

Amosu is known for its love of all things shiny and expensive, and for pairing those things with smartphones from time to time. The results are obviously not for mere mortals, but people who can afford to spend small fortunes on bespoke mobile devices.

For this year's Valentine's Day, Amosu is preparing to launch the "world's first pink iPhone 6". Yes, it apparently couldn't resist joining in on all the pink 'fun' that's coming up prior to said celebration of love and whatnot.

As you can see from the picture to the left, the pink iPhone 6 will look extremely pink - so it's only going to be for die hard fans of this color. That probably won't be a problem, however, since Amosu is only going to be making exactly ten units.

Each of those will cost £1,899. That's actually quite cheap when compared to other Amosu wares from the past, but do keep in mind that there are no diamonds here - just a new hue, basically, and the Alexander Amosu logo on the iPhone's back. Hopefully the "World's first pink iPhone 6" text is only in this image for promotional purposes and won't make it to the final product.

So there you have it. If your loved one has been craving a pink iPhone, there's now a solution for that. Don't forget - no case can ever be pink enough when compared to a real pink iPhone.

5 Signs You Might Be Dating A Sociopath

Have you ever had one of those relationships from hell, where a person seems to not care about anything or anyone other than himself? Well, there’s a term that might fit that crazy person you ran away from years ago. The term of sociopath. Basically, a sociopath doesn’t really feel emotion and just kinda makes decisions that are focused on what’s best for him/her without considering how you might feel or whether the decision might hurt other people. Many politicians fit into this category.

This video describes the sociopathic tendency. Maybe you’ll find that you have an ex who fits in this category.

10 Signs Your Co-worker Secretly Likes You

What are the ten signs your coworker secretly likes you? Trying to determine if a co-worker likes you or not can be confusing if not frustrating. So here are some ways to find out.

1. Finding reasons to be near you.

If she, or he, is constantly at your desk and seeking you out discreetly, it’s a guarantee that the person likes you. Finding any reason to have contact with you is an obvious sign of affection or admiration.

Hinged on your every word.

Does the person listen intuitively to you? If he or she is hinging on your words, agreeing with your ideas. it’s a sure bet they have deeper feelings than co-worker simply conversing.

Watch for change in behavior or voice tone.

Normal interaction with other co-workers may not match how that person interacts with you. Is the person louder and more socially aggressive with other office personnel? But tones down the behavior when you’re near? This change can indicate a good possibly that this co-worker secretively likes you. Softer voices are signs of intimacy.

Be alert to body language.

Leaning into you as if to hear you better or the slightest arm touch can both be signs that a co-worker secretly likes you. Watch how the co-worker intermingles with others and then see how he or she connects with you. If the person leans into you while talking, the closeness will be noticed.

Direct eye contact and long gazes.

Long held eye contact is a sure sign that your co-worker secretly likes you. The person may not be able to put their feelings into words so they rely on subtle hints of longing looks. The looks can also be quick and barely noticed so pay attention.

Pay attention to the little things.

Not the balloons or flowers for your birthday but the little notes being left for you.

Bringing you coffee just the way you like it.

Making sure all your messages are hand delivered.

Watch for these little signs.

Purposely being called out.

If that co-worker constantly calls upon you, but you know he or she knows the answer, may be a clear sign that they have a secret crush on you. Allegedly needed to have you back up their thoughts is how they may mask the reassurance but in reality it’s the closeness to you they’re seeking.

Talking and sharing life outside.

Talking, texting and visiting outside the office is another guarantee a co-worker secretly likes you. When you start sharing life’s little moments and look forward to the connection, you have someone with a secret crush on you.

First to arrive and last to leave.

Watch the schedule of this person. If they arrive early like you or leave later than the other co-workers, this could be a sign they want to be alone with you and are intimidated to tell you they have a secret crush on you.

Partaking in silly little games.

Has this person given you a silly little nickname? Or is he or she flinging rubber bands at you? Any child-like behavior comes through as a young person’s crush.

These ten signs are all ways to tell if a co-worker secretly likes you.
